China Work Visa (Z)

Work Visa is issued to an alien who comes to China for a post or employment with his or her accompanying family members.

China Work Visa (Z) Requirements

1. PASSPORT

If you are applying for a business visa in China, you must have your own passport. It must have a blank visa page and must still be valid for at least six months, last 3 pages that are amendment pages are not considered by China Embassy.

2. APPLICATION FORM

Applicants must fill out the application completly (4 pages) V2011A and V2011B in the computer and must type, print and sign the application. click this link to down load the China Visa Application Form. Failure to follow this guideline might lead your application to a rejection by the embassy and $30 resubmission fee.

3. PHOTOPGRAPH

Each Chinese Work Visa application must have one passport size photo.

4. WORK PERMIT

An applicant should make sure that his/her Chinese employer has secured a copy, both original and photocopy, of the work permit from the Chinese Labor Department or a Foreign Experts License from the Chinese Foreign Experts Bureau.

5. VISA AUTHORIZATION NOTICE

The Chinese employer must send this Visa Authorization Notice, issued by the Foreign Affairs Office, to the applicant together with the Work Permit.

6. VISA NOTIFICATION

If an applicant is being accompanied by a family member by the time he/she enters China, the accompanying family member is required to present a Visa Notification (issued by the authorized Chinese unit) or proof of kinship (i.e. marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc.).
